Who is this course for?
The course is designed for people who handle food, utensils, equipment or food-contact surfaces. Ask your employer or local regulatory authority which training requirements apply to your role.
Is the course entirely online?
Yes. Lessons and knowledge checks are completed through your account in a web browser.
Can I complete it on my phone?
Yes. The course is designed for phones, tablets and computers. Your progress is saved to your account.
How long does the course take?
The curriculum is designed for approximately 75 minutes, including knowledge checks. You can pause and return to your saved progress. The designed course length is no more than two hours.
Do I receive a certificate?
Program approval is pending. Valid certificates and public enrollment will become available only after approval. Test certificates are clearly marked SAMPLE — NOT VALID.
How do I download my certificate?
After eligible completion, open My Learning and choose View Certificate, then Download PDF. You can also print the certificate.
How long is the certificate valid?
Production certificates are issued for two years. The expiration date is shown on the certificate. Sample certificates are never valid.
What if I lose my certificate?
Sign in to your account and download it again. Re-downloading does not change the original completion or expiration date.
Can an employer verify my certificate?
Yes. Enter the certificate number on the Verify Certificate page to check its status. Sample certificates do not appear in public verification.
Can I retake a quiz?
Yes. Each lesson has four questions and unlimited retries. You need all four correct to meet the 80% threshold. Explanations are provided after submission.
Is there a final examination?
No. Completion is based on the required screens and the seven module knowledge checks.
What browsers and devices are supported?
Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with cookies enabled. A PDF reader is needed for downloaded certificates.
Can I share my account?
No. Your account and completion record are personal to you. Signing in on another device ends the previous course session.
